Kenyon, Son & Craven was a confectionery firm, based in South Yorkshire, that was on the brink of collapse in the 1940s. Its fortune changed when Simon Heller, a Leeds-based businessman who’d migrated to Britain from Panevėžys, Lithuania, acquired the business in 1948.

Under Heller’s guidance, Kenyon Produce (or KP) Nuts soon introduced salted peanuts and became the first company to achieve nationwide distribution of the tasty snack.
